With the resurgence of the Lloyd football program over the past 3 or 4 seasons, coming into the NewCath game, many have said this is the year the Juggs get the better of the Breds on the scoreboard. However, each of the past 3 seasons the Breds have denied the Juggs that prize.
In 2012 Lloyd (6-1) lost to NewCath (2-4) 63-22.
In 2013 Lloyd (4-2) lost to NewCath (1-4) 22-7.
In 2014 Lloyd (4-0) lost to NewCath (0-4) 28-0.
Coming into Friday's match-up at Newport Stadium, Lloyd sits at a 5-2 record, while NewCath is 3-4.
Also, keep in mind, NewCath as NOT lost a 2A district game, 29-0, since the move to 2A in 2007.
Is this the year the Juggs accomplish two things in one game?
