The OMEGA Processing / ProScan Imaging Game of the Week webcast features Holy Cross (9-3) vs NewCath (7-5) in the State Quarterfinals at Newport High School.
Holy Cross advanced last week by winning a tight one over Walton-Verona 13-10. The Indians scored the winning TD with about 6 minutes left in the 4th Quarter. NewCath advanced more easily with a 48-14 victory over Lloyd. The Breds jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the 1st Quarter and never looked back for the win.
Earlier this season (Week 7), NewCath defeated Holy Cross 21-0 but we’re expecting a much closer game this time. NewCath is 16-2 against Holy Cross since 2005. The winner of this game will play the winner of Danville vs Lexington Christian.

Game of the Week Replay
Mason Molique was our OMEGA Processing Offensive Player of the Game as Ryle beat Cooper 49-20 in the 2nd round of the State Playoffs. The Sophomore Kicker was 7-7 for PAT's in the game, and is 94-96 overal the past 2 years. Molique is also 18-21 for field goals in his career thus far.
Jackson High was our ProScan Imaging Defensive Player of the Game as the Junior LB had 17 tackles, a pass deflection, and a fumble recovery for a TD.

Kentucky Country Day (10-2) at Beechwood (11-1)
Beechwood defeated Louisville Holy Cross last week 44-0 but the road to state gets a little more difficult this Friday for the Tigers. They will face the Bearcats of Kentucky Country Day who defeated Frankfort last week 56-6.

Fern Creek (6-5) at CovCath (9-3)
This looks to be a very competitive game between the Tigers of Fern Creek and the Covington Catholic Colonels. Fern Creek defeated Dixie last week 39-6 and controlled the entire game. CovCath beat Doss easily 48-21.

Ryle (12-0) at Scott County (10-2)
Simon Kenton (11-1) at Lafayette (11-1)
Both Ryle and Simon Kenton will be on the road this weekend and if both win they will play each other again in the Semifinals. Ryle defeated Cooper last week 49-20 while Simon Kenton beat Campbell County 57-14. Both games will be tough match-ups and we hope to see a SK/Ryle rematch next Friday.
