The Brossart Mustangs will host the Newport Wildcats tonight in an independent contest, at Campbell County High School in Claryville. Game time is 7pm.
The Mustangs are 2-1 after being gunned down in the second half a week ago by Bellevue and will be looking to make amends. Newport is 1-1 with a win over Finneytown (OH) and a loss to Owen County. Brossart has played the Wildcats four times in our history, losing by lopsided margins in all four outings. We will be looking to reverse that trend tonight.
This will be Local Heroes Night, benefiting the Cincinnati Street Ministry who has local ties here in town with the Alexandria Main Street Baptist Church. Fans of both teams are asked to bring a donation of new socks for distribution to the homeless.
"Team Believe" - a charity benefiting Brian Eviston, who is suffering from ALS, will also be selling towels at the gates and in the stands. Brian is a son-in-law of our Brossart Ambassador, Roger Keller.
