1) 5A Covington Catholic (3-0) – Despite weather forcing the game to be played over the course of two days, Covington Catholic rolled through their 3rd win of the season, beating 6A Cooper (1-2) by a score of 54-7. RB Casey McGinness led the offense, rushing for 176yds and 2 TDs, while receiving for another 47yds and 1 TD. Casey both tied the school's record for career rushing TDs during the game this week, and set the new record at 46 TDs. QB Caleb Jacob went 10-13 passing for 154yds and 3 TDs. Defensively, they Colonels were able to tackle the Jags for a loss 6 times, and juniors Jack Raisbeck & Michael Thelen led the team with 4 tackles each. The Colonels will face their toughest challenge yet this season in the OH-DII Kings Knights (2-0). The Knights held Cov Cath to their smallest margin of victory last season.
