Itís that time of the year again, when the temperature drops, the leaves begin to fall, and the Bellevue Tigers play the Dayton Green Devils.
For the past few years, the Tigers have had much more success than the Green Devils, but this season is a totally different story. For the first time since 2002, the Green Devils are on their way to postseason play. This season, the Tigers have a disappointing 3-6 record and will miss the playoffs.
Dayton clinched the playoffs last week by beating the Ludlow Panthers 19-8, along with a win by Newport Central Catholic over the Tigers.
Despite Bellevue missing the playoffs, the team would love nothing more than to defeat Dayton on Senior Night for Bellevue. Bellevue defeated the Green Devils last season 35-14. The two teams will meet Friday night at 7:30.
