Northern KY District Brackets
2/20/2007 - by NKS Editor
This is the final regular season week for NKY basketball as teams prepare for their District games next week for a chance to play in the Regionals. Currently, the favorite to win the 9th Region is CovCath (19-5), ranked #1 in the Ky Enquirer Coaches' poll. But the Colonels will definitely be tested this week with games against Simon Kenton (20-6), who is ranked #3, and Brossart (23-3), ranked #2.

Holmes (18-8) faces the toughest road to make it to the Regionals this year. They'll have to get by Holy Cross (13-8) who had beat them earlier in the year, but Holmes is back to full strength now and has won their last 7 games. CovCath will face Beechwood (14-10) for their first District game.

For the girls, look for Notre Dame (20-4), Simon Kenton (22-2), Boone County (17-9), and NewCath (19-7) to make strong showings in the girls Regional tournaments.

Check out the Northern Kentucky High School Basketball District BOYS BRACKET and GIRLS BRACKET. District games start Monday, February 26.
