SWEET 16 BOYS BROADCASTS
The Holmes Bulldogs defeated the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornadoes 57-48 to advance in the Boys Kentucky Sweet 16. Holmes started the game out cold with 2 of 14 shooting from the field and found themselves down 9-4 midway through the first quarter. But, then the shots started to sink and Holmes was up 28-25 at halftime.
Holmes pulled away in the 3rd quarter with an 11-0 run while Paducah Tilghman was 1 of 17 from the field. In the 4th quarter, the Blue Tornadoes pulled within 6 points, but the Bulldogs stood strong with the 57-48 win.
Austin Hill led Holmes with 26 points. Holmes will play South Laurel on Friday, March 23 in the quarterfinlals around 1:45 PM.
