Holmes Finishes in Final Four |

The Holmes Bulldogs made a great run in the Kentucky Sweet 16. On Friday, they defeated South Laurel 55-49 to advance to the Final Four, but would then face the tournament favorite, Scott County, on Saturday.
The Bulldogs kept the game close early on and went into halftime only down by four. But, in the 3rd quarter the Cardinals of Scott County outscored Holmes by 11 and was up 47-32. Holmes made a valiant comeback in the 4th quarter scoring 32 points but Scott County hit 23 of 26 free throws in the quarter to keep the lead and hold on to the 73-64 win.
Greg Rice led Holmes with 26 points.
Scott County then went on to defeat Ballard 56-50 Saturday evening to win the Boys Kentucky Sweet 16 Championship.
