Labor Day weekend is quickly approaching and not only does this holiday ring in the official end of the summer, but the opportunity to observe boys high school soccer talent in action. On Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31, the Scott High School Boys Soccer Program in Taylor Mill, KY is hosting The Taste Tournament. The tournament will feature 6 boys’ varsity games and a lunch of local fare, donated by area restaurants being provided for the teams on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 – 2:00.
Scott is hosting teams from Covington Catholic, Heath County and Henry Clay. Both Henry Clay and Covington Catholic are ranked in the top 25 in the state. Over 80 college coaches have been invited to see the boys in action. Footballers from elite clubs and recreational clubs alike are playing, including ODP players from all levels. Admission is $10 for an all tournament pass or $5 per game for adults/$3 for students. In addition to the games, the hosts are providing a silent auction, personalized soccer sketches, split the pot, and a coach’s hospitality tent.
