NKY Football Playoffs - Week 2
11/20/2008 - by NKS Editor
Eleven teams remain from Northern Kentucky for the Kentucky State Football playoffs heading into Week 2. Three of those games feature NKY teams facing each other: Ludlow (5-6) @ Beechwood (10-1), Lloyd (6-5) @ NewCath (10-1) and Simon Kenton (7-4) @ Conner (7-4).

Highlands (10-1), the #1 ranked team in Northern Kentucky, is thankful to be around for this week's game against Ashland Blazer (7-4). The Bluebirds barely got by Bryan Station last week with a 28-22 win in the final seconds of the game. Ashland Blazer lost to Bryan Station last month 28-14.

The best match-up to watch is Simon Kenton @ Conner. These two teams faced each other September 12, and the Cougars scored 2 touchdowns in the final 1:19 for the comeback win.

Here are the remaining playoff games:
Gallatin County (6-5) @ Frankfort (10-1)
Holy Cross (4-7) @ DeSales (9-2)
Covington Catholic (5-6) @ Johnson Central (10-1)
Henry Clay (6-4) @ Boone County (8-3)
