Highlands defeated CovCath 36-14 for the NKY Division I Championship this past Saturday night. The Colonels ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown and then scored on their next position to take an early 14-0 lead. The Bluebirds tied the game at 14 right before halftime with a punt return touchdown, and then outscored CovCath 22-0 in the second half to win the Championship.
Highlands ended the season a perfect 9-0, including 4 shutouts and a season opening win over Louisville St. Xaver 24-19.
