NewCath Moves On in Playoffs |
11/18/2005 - by NKS Editor |
Four NKY teams entered into tonight's High School Playoffs and only one will move on to play next week. Newport Catholic took care of business with a 41-14 win over Lexington Christian. Newport took Russell into OT with a great back-n-forth game but lost 34-33 on a blocked extra point. Highlands offense was shut down by LexCath's aggressive defense 17-0, and Boone County was shut out by the favorite Louisville Trinity. Next week NewCath will take on Somerset at home and we'll have the play-by-play here on NorthernKentuckySports.com.
