Newport High School with host the 1st Annual John Turner Classic on Saturday, December 10. The boys basketball shootout is in honor of John Turner, Class of 1957, who was All-State in football and basketball.
He went on to score over 1000 points for the Louisville Cardinals basketball program, and later played in the NBA for the Chicago Packers.
The games begin at 12 Noon and all tickets are $5.00. The schedule is as follows:
