|Week 12 Republic Bank Football Game of the Week
|11/8/2012 - by NKS Editor|
This week’s Game of the Week features the Simon Kenton Pioneers (8-3) vs. the Campbell County Camels (7-4).
Simon Kenton defeated Bryan Station last week 29-22 while Campbell County had an easy time with Paul Dunbar, winning 57-0.
These two teams played an exciting game earlier in the year (Sep 28 at SK) with the Camels winning 29-28. Campbell County won in comeback fashion and finished their drive winning drive with a gutsy 2-point conversion. Campbell County has the home field advantage this Friday, and look for this to be another great game.
The Pioneers will have to contain Senior QB Tyler Durham for a chance at winning this game. Durham leads NKY in rushing with 1,829 yards and 25 rush TD’s. He’s also passed for 1,371 yards and 12 TD’s. Simon Kenton’s leading offensive player is QB Brenen Kuntz who has thrown for 1,949 yards and 18 TD’s.

Game of the Week Replay
Last week’s Game of the Week saw an exciting game full of offense as Henry Clay defeated Dixie 57-50. The Blue Devils scored the winning TD on a double-reverse pass, but Dixie had a couple opportunities at the end to tie the game but fell just short. Our Republic Bank Player of the Game was Henry Clay RB, Elijah Bell. You can see the Replay of the game below.

Lloyd at Walton-Verona
Lloyd (8-3) defeated Walton earlier this year 38-33 at home. The Bearcats (9-2) have won 7 straight games since that loss and now get to host the Juggernauts at home. This should be another competitive, Class 2A game. The Bearcats’ offense is based on rushing the ball, and they have 5 players with at least 375 yards rushing and 5 TD’s. Lloyd is led by QB Dexter Smith who has thrown for 1,740 yards and 15 TD’s, and has also rushed for 696 yards and 12 rush TD’s.
