|Week 7 OMEGA Game of the Week
|10/3/2013 - by NKS Editor|
This week’s OMEGA Processing Game of the Week features Simon Kenton (6-0) vs. Campbell County (3-2). The Pioneers come into this 6A District game undefeated and haven’t allowed more than 7 points in each of the last 3 games. Last week they defeated Ryle 46-7.
Simon Kenton is led by Senior QB Brenen Kuntz who leads the team in rushing with 478 yards and 5 TD’s to go along with his passing stats of 1,172 yards and 12 TD’s. If the Camels want to win this game, they’ll have to stop Kuntz.
Campbell County is coming off a bye week and lost a very close game the week before to Conner 13-12. The Camels are led by Senior QB Avery Wood who also leads the team in rushing and passing. Wood has 382 rush yards and 4 TD’s along with 519 pass yards and 3 TD’s.
This will be the Camels’ first District game of the year. Historically, these two teams have gone back and forth since 2005. Since then, the Camels are 5-4 against the Pioneers. Last year they played twice with Campbell County winning the first game 29-28 and Simon Kenton winning the playoff game 29-21.
