The OMEGA Processing Game of the Week webcast this week features Highlands (1-4) at Simon Kenton (5-0). The tides have turned in NKY as Simon Kenton has taken over the #1 spot usually assigned to Highlands. Last week the Bluebirds lost to Louisville St. Xavier 37-6 while the Pioneers defeated Cooper 26-7.
Highlands is led by Senior RB Nick Kendall and Senior QB Austin Hergott. Kendall has rushed for 382 yards and 5 TD’s while Hergott has thrown for 523 yards and 5 TD’s. Simon Kenton’s offense is led by the duo of Senior RB Dillon Powell and Junior QB Cameron Racke. Powell leads all of NKY in rushing with 813 rush yards and 9 TD’s while Racke has thrown for 687 yards and 6 TD’s. These two teams haven’t played in each other in over 10 years.

Last week’s Game of the Week featured CovCath vs Beechwood. Ryan McGinness was our OMEGA Processing Player of the Game as Covington Catholic defeated Beechwood 41-21. McGinness had 84 rush yards and over 50 yards receiving along with 1 rush TD and 1 receiving TD.

Conner at NewCath
Conner (3-1) plays at NewCath (2-3). These two teams haven’t played each other since 2008 when NewCath won 28-27. Conner has won back-to-back close games against Scott and Dixie winning by 1 point in each game. Last week the Breds won easily over Harrison County 47-7.
Conner is led by Senior QB Kyler Padgett and Senior RB/WR Isaiah Ebarb. Padgett has rushed for 272 yards and 6 TD’s while also throwing for 493 yards and 4 TD’s. Ebarb has been the main receiver for Padgett with 14 receptions for 279 yards and 3 TD’s.
NewCath is led by Senor RB Jacob Smith who has rushed for 283 yards and 5 TD’s.
Holy Cross at Beechwood
Holy Cross (2-2) takes on Beechwood (3-1) on Friday night. Holy Cross lost an offensive battle against Scott last week 56-39 while Beechwood suffered their first loss against CovCath 41-21. Beechwood is 11-0 against the Indians since 2005.
