OMEGA Game of the Week - CovCath vs Highlands
11/20/2015 - by NKS Editor
The Quarterfinals of the State Football Playoffs begin tonight and the OMEGA Processing Game of the Week webcast will feature a Class 5A rivalry game between CovCath (5-7) and Highlands (7-5). Last week CovCath defeated Madison Southern 28-7 while Highlands beat Dixie 52-21. These two teams played earlier this season (Oct 17) and the Bluebirds won a close game 14-10. Highlands has beat CovCath 14 straight games with the Colonels' last win coming back in 2006 in the playoffs.

Not many points were scored last game but look for both teams to score more tonight as both offenses have been warming up lately. CovCath has been spreading the ball out all year to their running backs and wide receivers but lately Junior RB Anthony Best has been coming through for the Colonels. In the past few games Best has rushed for 285 yards and 3 TD's.

And for the Bluebirds, Senior RB Nick Kendall has been the work horse. For the season Kendall has rushed for 1,117 yards and 16 TD's, but the last 2 games has rushed for 460 yards and 6 TD's.

You can watch this game LIVE starting at 7:00 PM on NKYSports.com!

Earlier this year the Breds defeated the Juggernauts 29-26. A game where NewCath had to come back to win. You can watch the REPLAY OF GAME HERE. Since 2005 NewCath has won 12 straight over Lloyd.
