OMEGA/ProScan Game of the Week - Highlands at Ryle
9/8/2016 - by NKS Editor
The OMEGA Processing / ProScan Imaging Game of the Week webcast features Highlands (1-2) at Ryle (3-0) on Friday.

Ryle is our new #1 ranked team this week and they will host the Bluebirds. Highlands has lost 2 straight and last week their loss came to Scott County 42-33. Ryle defeated Boone County easily last week 42-7.

Ryle is led by Senior QB Tanner Morgan and Junior RB Jacob Chisholm. Morgan has thrown for 689 yards and 5 TD’s while Chisholm has rushed for 370 yards and 4 TD’s to lead the Raiders.

Highlands has a really good RB duo between Seniors Grant Murray and Jared Pulsfort who have combined for 555 rush yards and 8 TD’s. But, they also got some very good production from Junior WR Nick Veneman last week who caught 4 TD passes and now has 384 receiving yards.

Ryle is only 2-5 against Highlands but won last year at Highlands 48-24. Currently 86% of our voters on Twitter are picking Ryle to win this game.

You can watch this game LIVE starting at 7:30 PM on NKYSports.com!

Game of the Week Replay
Last week’s Game of the Week featured a great game to watch between Campbell County vs NewCath. The Camels jumped out to an early 14-0 lead but the Breds came back in the 2nd half to take a 28-21 lead. Then with about 30 seconds left in the game Camels’ QB Tim Hoeh hit WR Cameron Sandman for the game winning TD.

Cameron Sandman was our OMEGA Processing Offensive Player of the Game as Campbell County defeated NewCath 33-28. Sandman had 4 receptions for 117 yards and 2 TD's including the winning TD catch to lead the Camels.

Tanner Hamilton was our ProScan Imaging Defensive Player of the Game as he led the Camels in tackles.

NKYSports.com Replay – Campbell County vs NewCath

Cooper (2-1) at Campbell County (2-1)
This Class 6A game should tell us a lot about these two teams as we head into Week 4 of High School football. Both teams have played the same opponents with different results. Cooper has wins over NewCath and Bryan Station but a loss at Highlands. Campbell County has close wins over Highlands and NewCath.

Both teams can throw and run the ball so it should be a good game to watch. The Camels are 5-3 against the Jaguars but Cooper won big last year 35-7.

Simon Kenton (3-0) at Dixie (2-0)
Simon Kenton had their hands full with Conner last week but ended up with a 39-27 win. Dixie defeated Milford 28-13 and will now host the Pioneers on Friday. Dixie has the top rusher in NKY (in just 2 games) with SR Jose Torres who has rushed for 474 yards and 5 TD’s. This will be a good test for Dixie and will give us a look at how much the Colonels have improved since last season.

Newport (1-2) at Bellevue (0-3)
Last week Newport lost big to Scott 56-16 while Bellevue lost a close one to Brossart 13-6. Neither team has produced much offense this season but this should be a good game for each team to gain some confidence. Last year Newport won this game between the neighboring cities 8-0.
