This is the last weekend of regular season play for Northern Kentucky High School football, and it features some very good match-ups. The biggest game of the weekend, CovCath (6-3) at Highlands (6-3). These are the top two teams ranked in Northern Kentucky and a game everyone looks forward to. Last year Highlands defeated CovCath 28-21.
Another long anticipated game is Holy Cross (8-1) at Beechwood (7-2). Each team is 5-0 in their District and the winner will take first in the District, and play Dayton next week in the playoffs. Dayton has already secured a playoff spot whether they lose to Bellevue or not this weekend.
And how about the Class 4A District? Three teams are currently tied for first - Dixie, Ryle, and Boone County. Dixie (5-4) plays at Ryle (7-2) and Boone County (5-4) plays at Conner (3-6). And if Boone County wins, they will secure their #1 seed for the playoffs.
Other games this weekend:
Newport vs Lloyd
