Class 1A
Newton's Third Law states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. As Pikeville was hanging their heads over a heartbreaking loss to an out of state opponent, Raceland was celebrating a huge win over a competitor of their own. The Rams move up a spot in the rankings following their stellar win on Portsmouth West's field and will now set their sights on a stout 2A Somerset team. Pikeville can not linger on their second loss in as many weeks. The Panthers have a massive District clash with Hazard awaiting. Beechwood remains at the top of the heap as the Eastern teams jockey for position. The Tigers will need a good showing against 6A Simon Kenton to stay at the pinnacle of Class 1A.
