The NKYFL 2006 Playoffs are finished and the Super Bowl is set for Saturday November 4th. This past Saturday saw the Senior Division, Campbell County Red Devils (1), playing an always fierce NKY Bengal Tigers (5) team. The Bengal Tigers did all they could but the Red Devils still survived with an 8-0 victory.
Next came the Red Devils Juniors (1) taking on the South Kenton Nittany Lions (4). The Red Devils ran away with the game that ended with a score of 40-6.
Next up were the Midgets of the Bellevue Tigers (1) facing the only team to beat them this season, the Erlanger Lions (4). The first meeting of these 2 teams ended with the Lions on top 14-0. This time the Tigers were well prepared and left the field with the victory 20-8.
Sunday saw more action with the Senior Raiders (3) losing to the Spartans (2). In the Junior Division, the Spartans(2) won over the Erlanger Lions (3). In the Midget Division, the South Kenton Nittany Lions (6) defeated the Raiders (7).
Which leaves us with the following NKYFL Superbowl matchups:
MIDGETS - Bellevue vs. South Kenton
JUNIOR - Campbell County vs. Spartans
SENIOR - Campbell County vs. Spartans
Be sure to get out to Beechwood High School to see all the action this Saturday, November 4. Games are at Noon, 2:00pm & 4:00pm. If you can't make it to the field, be sure to listen on all the play right here on NKYSPORTS.COM.
