BOYS BASKETBALL
Simon Kenton continues to roll in the first few weeks of NKY High School basketball action improving to 5-0 with two more wins this past week over Conner and Williamstown. Simon Kenton has also moved up to the number one spot for the Kentucky Enquirer Coaches' Poll. Two other teams playing good ball lately are Bishop Brossart and St. Henry. Brossart is off to a 4-0 start and St. Henry is 5-1 including a 67-65 win over Highlands this past week.
Some big games coming up this weekend include Scott vs. Dixie, Conner vs. Boone County, and Holy Cross vs. Brossart.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Boone County is ranked number one in the Girls Kentucky Enquirer Coaches' poll and they are off to a 3-2 start. Notre Dame and NewCath are right behind them in the polls and are off to very good starts. Notre Dame is 5-0 with wins over Seton and Ursuline Academy this past week, while NewCath is 3-0 with wins over Dixie and Louisville Holy Cross this past week.
