| Bellevue Honors Two Seniors, Defeat Beechwood |

On a cool winter evening, the feeling was bittersweet for the Bellevue Lady Tigers. For their senior night, Bellevue defeated the Beechwood Lady Tigers 68-39 on Thursday night.
The two Bellevue seniors, center Mindy Merritt and guard Mallory Reynolds, both reached career milestones on Thursday evening in the first quarter. Merritt scored her 1,500th career point with a rebound and a put back midway through the first quarter. Reynolds, with a 3-pointer early in the first quarter, scored her 500th career point respectively.
Merritt finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds.
The win gives Bellevue momentum entering the 36th District Tournament, where they will play the winner of Newport and Newport Central Catholic on Wednesday evening.
