Hickory Sticks Golf Course
Grade: Par
Hickory Sticks is a course that offers some holes you can score low on but also hosts some holes that are difficult. The par three holes on this course offer the most challenge, especially #3, which runs about 200 yards in distance and if you go right, you'll most likely lose your ball. For the par four holes, #12 can be difficult, especially if you don't get your drive over the water, and when you're on the green, watch out for the slope . . you'll definitely want to keep your ball below the hole on this one. One of the tough par five holes is #18, which runs all uphill and is very hard to reach in two.
This course is in very good shape, the staff is always very courteous and the snack bar is always open. The course seems to be a very popular golf course with my friends as we visit this one frequently as it is also very economical at $37.00 (including cart) on the weekends.
The course is located off AA Highway past Alexandria about 10 miles from the Wilder, KY exit.
