Two weeks of Northern Kentucky football are in the books and the temperatures are still high. NewCath (2-0) is still riding high as well with their big win over CovCath last week (9-0) and now they turn their attention to the Ryle Raiders (1-1). (NKY.com BROADCAST) Ryle got back on track last week with a 52-14 win over Newport after losing their opener against Highlands.
Some other interesting match-ups this week:
CovCath (0-2) at Dixie (1-1): Huge game for the Colonels in BLUE after losing their first 2 games against LaSalle and NewCath. CovCath has only scored 7 points the first 2 games, so look for them to get their offense on track vs a Dixie team that should be undefeated. NKY.com BROADCAST
Dayton (2-0) at Beechwood (2-0): These could be your top two teams in their District as Dayton has already pulled off wins against Holmes and Scott. Beechwood is the favorite but it will be interesting to see how well Dayton can match-up with Beechwood.
Campbell County (2-0) at Boone County (1-1): Both teams have a lot of offensive power and this game should be very fun to watch. Nathan Kidwell of Campbell County leads NKY in passing with 407 yards and 6 TDs, while Boone County's Cory Farris leads NKY in rushing with 492 yards and 6 TDs.
Other games going on this weekend:
Holmes at Highlands
Bellevue at Ludlow
Conner at Simon Kenton
Anderson County at Grant County
Newport at Whitley County
Western Hills at Holy Cross (Saturday)
