Simon Kenton Makes Unbelievable Comeback |

This was the game of the night and a game Simon Kenton players, coaches, and fans will remember for a long time. Entering the 4th quarter the Pioneers were down 38-25 and then scored 3 minutes into the 4th quarter making it 38-32. Simon Kenton then recovered a Russell fumble and scored on a 4th and goal taking the lead 39-38 with 6 minutes remaining.
Russell then drove the ball to score a field goal with about 15 seconds left taking a 41-29 lead. Russell made a short kick to Simon Kenton who had the ball at their own 48 yard line with 11 seconds left. With time running out Simon Kenton completed a pass and a face mask was called against Russell. Thus a final play was ran because of the penalty and the Pioneers kicked a 31 yard field goal with 0:00 on the clock finalizing their unbelievable comeback.

Holy Cross was winning the game 3-0 at halftime but Beechwood finally got on track in the second half to score 17 unanswered points.
