Top Seeds Win Their Round Two Playoff Games |

The top seeds from each Northern Kentucky district won their round two playoffs last night as Beechwood, NewCath, Highlands, and Boone County will all move on to the State Quarterfinals.
CLASS 1A
Beechwood 35 Bellevue 2
The Tigers will host Louisville Holy Cross next Friday.
CLASS 2A
NewCath 28 Holy Cross 0
The Breds were only up 7-0 going into the 4th quarter as both teams combined for 10 turnovers. NewCath will host Corbin next Friday. (NKY.com BROADCAST)
CLASS 5A
Highlands 40 CovCath 0
The Bluebirds jumped out early and scored on a variety of plays against the Colonels. Highlands had 5 touchdowns, one being a free kick TD return by Josh Conner, one safety, one field goal and one 2-point conversion. Highlands will host Letcher County Central on Friday. (NKY.com BROADCAST)
CLASS 6A
Boone County 27 Ryle 17
This was the closest game of the night. Ryle had a 17-14 lead with about 7 minutes left in the game after Adam Schmitz scored a TD, but Boone countered with a Cory Farris touchdown. Boone County missed the extra point leaving the score 20-17, giving the Raiders an opportunity to at least tie the game. Ryle was driving with about one minute left and on a 3rd down play with 9 yards to go, Boone County rushed the Raiders' quarterback causing a fumble, and Andrew Brown returned it for a game sealing touchdown. Boone County will host Shelby County next Friday.
