Newport Central Catholic lost 55-36 against Shelby Valley in the second round of the boys All A State Tournament. Calvary Christian lost in the opening round of the tournament on a last second shot by Pineville 37-36.
The girls basketball team from NewCath lost 51-49 in the final seconds of their Semi-final game against Lexington Christian. This is the third straight year LCA has knocked out the breds.NKY.com's Full Story
Newport Central Catholic and Calvary Christian will play Friday as their tournament games got pushed back a day. NewCath (10-7) will face Danville (8-7) at 9:30 PM while Calvary Christian (10-6) faces Pineville (14-8) at 5:00 PM.
