Northern Ky Football - Week 9
10/15/2009 - by NKS Editor
District play is in full force this week with 10 District games to be played. In Class 1A, Dayton (0-7) looks for their first win of the season against Walton-Verona (1-6).

In Class 2A, Holy Cross (3-4) plays Lloyd (4-3). Holy Cross is looking for their first District win after last week's loss to NewCath 38-21. The Juggernauts are coming off a big 51-22 District win over Newport and have won 4 of their past 5 games.

In Class 5A, the undefeated Highlands Bluebirds (7-0) come off a bye week to play at CovCath (4-3) on Saturday. The Colonels have won their last four games and have averaged 40 points per game during the win streak. Can CovCath upset Highlands this weekend? Vote for this now on the website.

In Class 6A, Conner (7-1) heads to Ryle (5-2) for a huge District match-up. Both teams come into this game with 2-1 District records and the winner of this game should solidify the number 2 seed for the District behind Simon Kenton (6-1). Simon Kenton will face Boone County (3-4).
