Republic Bank Game of the Week
 This week's Game of the Week features a double-header in the Skyline Crosstown Showdown featuring Covington Catholic vs. Dixie Heights (6:30 PM) and Simon Kenton vs. Beechwood (8:30), both games are being played at Dixie.
Last week, it was a tale of two stories for CovCath and Dixie. CovCath had its way with Campbell County with a 42-2 win, while Dixie lost 42-13 to NewCath in their home opener. Dixie was without their starting QB though, Zeke Pike, and he's back to help get Dixie back into the win column. Since 2005, CovCath is 6-1 against Dixie and won last year 40-36.

For the nightcap, Simon Kenton and Beechwood face-off around 8:30 P.M. NKYSports.com has no record of these teams playing since 2005. This will be the Tigers home opener while Simon Kenton won last week 34-9 against Casey County.

Game of the Week Replay
Last week's Republic Bank Game of the Week was NewCath over Dixie 42-13. After each game, NKYSports.com selects a Player of the Game for each team and donates $25.00 to the school's athletic department in the player's name.
Last week's Player's of the Game were Brady Hightchew of NewCath and Seth Bruns of Dixie Heights. Brady led the Breds to a win with 230 pass yards, 3 pass TD's, 116 rush yards and 1 rushing TD. Seth had a 100-yard kickoff return for a TD and led the Colonels in rushing.
