 This week’s Game of the Week features the Cooper Jaguars (0-2) vs. the Boone County Rebels (2-0). Cooper is looking for their first win of the season, last week they lost to Holy Cross 19-10. Boone County looks to remain undefeated with wins over Tates Creek and Conner thus far. The Rebels lead the series 3-0 and won last year 34-20 over the Jaguars.

Dixie vs. Highlands (Thursday Night)
Highlands is coming off a bye week after winning in Week 1 against Boyle County 35-14. Dixie (0-2) is looking for their first win and will have their hands full tonight with the Bluebirds. Highlands defeated Dixie two times last year, 42-12 and 42-28 in the playoffs.

Last week’s Republic Bank Games of the Week featured CovCath vs. Dixie and Simon Kenton vs. Beechwood. After each game, NKYSports.com selects a Player of the Game for each team and donates $25.00 to the school’s athletic department in the player’s name.
For the CovCath vs. Dixie game, the Player’s of the Game were Gabe Gray of CovCath and Zeke Pike of Dixie Heights. Gabe led CovCath with 223 rush yards, 4 rush TD’s, and 1 receiving TD. Pike led Dixie with 336 pass yards, 3 pass TD’s and 1 rushing TD.
Player’s of the Game for Simon Kenton vs. Beechwood were Nate Powell of Simon Kenton and Darrick Brilz of Beechwood. Nate led the Pioneers with 101 yards rushing. Darrick led the Tigers with 2 TD receptions and 1 Inteception.
