 Heading into the second round of the Kentucky State Football Playoffs, twelve NKY teams remain. Three teams will definitely be eliminated as the week showcases 3 games with NKY teams going against each other.
This week’s Game of the Week features the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts (5-6) against the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (10-1) in the second round of the playoffs. Last week, Lloyd beat Walton-Verona 13-0 to advance while the Breds won easily over Gallatin County 56-0. These two teams met earlier in the year with NewCath winning 45-14. Lloyd was able to avenge an earlier loss to Walton-Verona but will they have enough to defeat the Breds who have beaten the Juggernauts six straight games since 2007.

Game of the Week Replay
Last week’s Republic Bank Games of the Week featured Tates Creek at Campbell County. The Camels jumped out to a 19-0 lead but saw their lead dwindle to the Commodores, and held on to a very close 22-20 win.
