Welcome NKY Fans to another anticipated season of High School Football on NKYSports.com! We start the football season with a double header from Dixie High School as part of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown.
Our Republic Bank Game of the Week features Campbell County vs. Covington Catholic and Newport Central Catholic vs. Dixie Heights to begin our webcast season.
Campbell Co vs CovCath
 The Camels started last season with 5 straight losses but bounced back to make the playoffs before losing to Lafayette in the 2nd Round, finishing with a 4-8 Record. They will have their hands full on Friday as the face a Colonels team that's ranked #2 in the Enquirer's Coaches Poll. CovCath ended last year with a 10-3 record before losing to Highlands in the State Quarterfinals. CovCath beat Campbell County last year 42-2.

NewCath vs Dixie
 NewCath had an 11-2 record last year but was defeated by Holy Cross in the State Quarterfinals. Their quest for another State Title begins this weekend as they face the Colonels. Dixie had a disappointing 3-8 season last year and is looking to turn this season around with their new Head Coach, David Brossart. NewCath defeated Dixie last year 42-13.

Boyle Co vs Highlands
Highlands begins the season looking for their sixth straight State Title against Boyle County. Highlands is ranked #1 in the Enquirer's Coaches Poll to no one's surprise. The Birds' have reloaded once again. Highlands defeated Boyle County last year 35-14 at Boyle County.
Ryle vs Cooper
Cooper is looking for their first wins against Ryle. The Jaguars have made some great strides the past couple of years and finished last year with a 6-5 record. Cooper had won 5 straight last year before lost to Montgomery County in the first round of the playoffs. The Raiders finished last year 7-5 and their season was ended in the second round of the playoffs against Boone County. Ryle defeated Cooper last year 41-17.
