Last week’s Game of the Week saw Simon Kenton defeat NewCath 28-20. NewCath jumped out to a 14-0 lead but the Pioneers came back for the victory. Our Republic Bank Player of the Game was Brenen Kuntz who led the Pioneers with 241 pass yards and 3 TD’s. You can see the Replay of the game below.

CovCath vs. Highlands
The biggest game of the year for NKY football is almost here. This highly anticipated matchup showcases #1 Highlands (4-0) vs. #2 CovCath (4-1). The Colonels are led by Senior QB Blake Bir who has thrown for 1,315 yards and 17 TD’s. Look for CovCath to attack the Birds with their passing game. Highlands is led by Senior QB Donovan McCoy who has rushed for 326 yards, passed for 864 yards and has combined for 19 TD’s.

Dixie vs. Boone County
Dixie comes into this game 1-3 but has played some brutal opponents such as NCC, CovCath, and Boyle County. They had a huge comeback win against Conner 2 weeks ago. They’ll face a Boone County that hasn’t won a game yet at 0-5. This should be a pretty good game to watch. The Rebels lost to the Colonels last year 34-27 but have won 7 of the last 8 games.
