The #1 ranked Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds continued their undefeated season by winning the Ashland Invitational Dec 27-29. They defeated Boyd County, Russell and Ashland Blazer in the Championship.
Michael Bueter was named the tournament MVP by averaging 23 points for the tournament. He scored 29 points in the championship game.
