This week’s OMEGA Processing Game of the Week features Holy Cross (1-7) vs. NewCath (4-4). Holy Cross has lost 3 straight games while NewCath has won 3 straight. The Indians are coming off a tough Overtime loss to Newport last week 37-36. The Breds defeated Brossart last week 41-0.
Holy Cross is led by their Senior RB Jalen Beal who ranks #3 in rushing yards for NKY with 917 yards and 12 TD’s. NewCath is led by Senior QB Mac Franzen who has thrown for 1,160 yards and 13 TD’s to go along with 286 rush yards and 2 rush TD’s.
NewCath is 11-2 against Holy Cross overall.

Game of the Week Replay
Last week’s Game of the Week featured Bellevue vs. Ludlow. Senior RB Dylan Huff was our OMEGA Processing Player of the Game as Bellevue defeated Ludlow 54-20. Huff rushed for 173 yards and 4 TDs on 10 carries to lead the Tigers.

Highlands (8-0) at Elder (6-2)
Highlands brings their 14-game win streak into Elder with the Birds last loss being to Elder last year 38-24. This will be Highlands’ toughest game of the year thus far. Elder defeated Winton Woods last week 23-19 and also defeated St. Xavier, OH 23-10 in early October.
Elder’s offense is led by Sophomore QB Peyton Ramsey and Senior RB Chris Schroer. Ramsey has thrown for 1,172 yards and 7 TD’s along with 351 rush yards and 1 rush TD. Schroer has rushed for 727 yards and 11 TD’s.
Highlands is led Senior QB Drew Houliston and Senior RB Zach Harris. Houliston has thrown for 2,423 yards and 33 TD’s. He has a plethora of receivers to throw to with 6 receivers having over 250 yards. Harris has a combined 845 rush/receiving yards and a combined 20 TD’s.
These two teams have only played 3 times since 2005 with Elder holding a 2-1 edge.
Scott (7-1) at Conner (6-2)
This is a huge 5A District game between the running attack of Scott and the passing game of Conner. This game will determine the second seed in the District with South Oldham already holding the first seed at 4-0.
Scott lost their first game of the year last week against South Oldham 30-20. Conner also lost to South Oldham earlier this year 34-32. Conner defeated Grant County last week 53-6.
The Eagles will continue to rely on their rushing game with 4 players over 350 yards this year led by Josh Castleman who ranks #2 in rushing for NKY with 929 yards and 15 TD’s. The Cougars are led by Kentucky commit, Drew Barker, who has thrown for 1,994 yards and 26 TD’s along with 618 rush yards and 8 rush TD’s.
Since 2005, Conner is undefeated against Scott (6-0). They defeated Scott last year 39-32.
