This week’s OMEGA Processing Game of the Week for the Class 2A Football Semifinals features Somerset (8-4) vs. NewCath (9-4). Last week, the Briar Jumpers defeated Prestonsburg 28-21 to advance while NewCath beat Gallatin County 34-12.
The Breds have won 8 straight games and are one game away from advancing to the Class 2A Championship for the 2nd straight year. Since 2005, NewCath is 3-0 against Somerset and won last year 27-18.

Highlands (12-1) at Lexington Catholic (10-3)
Highlands is looking for their 7th straight State Championship and the road continues against LexCath. The Knights defeated Mercer County last week 49-14 and have won 6 straight games. The Birds beat CovCath last week 28-13 and will look to defeat LexCath for the 5th straight game. Last year Highlands defeated LexCath 61-28.
