Dayton Holds Off Late Rally from Brossart, Wins Opener 18-13 |

It was a thriller in Dayton and fans got their money's worth as this was one of the few games on Friday night not delayed or canceled by lightning.
The Greendevils scored a touchdown on its opening drive with the aid of a Bishop Brossart pass interference call on fourth down, keeping the Dayton drive alive.
Brossart's first drive had a big run called back on a holding penalty, and then was ended with a Dayton interception. Brossart's drive at the end of the first half ended with a second Dayton interception.
The Greendevils led at the half 12-0.
