| The Match-Ups: Basketball Regional Tournament Pairings Announced |

The Road to Rupp begins next week for local boys basketball teams in the regional tournaments while the girls' teams will fight for a bid to play in the Swweet 16 at Western Kentucky.
Draws for the 9th and 10th Region boys tournaments were announced Saturday. The 8th Region, featuring Simon Kenton, will be announced Sunday afternoon. The girls match-ups in all three regions were announced Saturday.

Wednesday, March 4
Covington Catholic (26-5) vs. Newport (14-16), 6:30 p.m.
Cooper (18-8) vs. St. Henry (19-12), 8 p.m.
Friday, March 6
Dixie (22-7) vs. Boone County (20-11), 6:30 p.m.
Newport Central Catholic (28-3) vs. Holmes (21-8), 8 p.m.
Sunday: Semifinals, noon and 1:30.
Monday: Finals, 7.
